I have always loved to travel… and shop!… especially to places in Asia and Africa that are not in the spotlight. Every time I came back from jaunts to those destinations, I filled my suitcase with little pieces… pieces of handmade art… to remind me of the hidden corners of the world I discovered!
The exquisite craftsmanship exhibited in these pieces of art, whether a table cloth, a vase, a chess set or a necklace is simply magnificent!… truly astounding detail that makes even high-end mass produced items seem merely OK.
The places I travel to have become my home and the artists my friends. These artists remind me of the Greek architects who were working on temples when the Romans conquered Greece. They asked the new rulers for permission to finish their work even without pay though those buildings were at that point Roman buildings… they did that because, just like my friends, producing art is their passion!
Now I am here!.. and what started as a hobby became my business, or should I say my passion..
